Sheraton Guilin Hotel

I guess I thought a welcome gift would've been customary for such diligence. The outdoor pool is not heated, so I just couldn't enjoy it. Almost thought about leaving a good review, but who am I kidding?

Local breakfasts, can't be beat.

Huge rooms complete with a view of the Li Jiang, remodelled bathrooms plus a super king bed, excellent staff. It has a favourable location close to the main turistic atractions in guilin.

Staying at this hotel was a good choice! Always friendly and cute. The breakfast was solid, offering a decent variety. Plus, the location was central, great to easily explore the sights. The pool was a refreshing bonus after a day of adventures. Truly worth the visit!

*this is a totally English speaking hotel -- excellent for non-Chinese speaking visitors. *Sheraton's tour desk is not much expansive from other tour agencies in town, and you get a big comfortable bus (not a tiny minivan without leg room) when you buy a tour from the hotel. *scenic riverfront location, nice green + sunrise view ; walkable distance to a city centre, lake, night market, restaurants etc. * Chinese sauna and massage places next door

Absolutely perfect location, shopping area, next to most known hotspots, restaurants and the river and Li river and elephant rock. Airy neat rooms with great views on the surrounding hills, and climate control, a safe box, and multi-channel TV. Good service too.

In the line of sheraton ... quality

The noise of the piano and the breakfast ... in some rooms this noise can be a problem in the mornings ...

adequate stay with highlight on location

The location was a highlight, right by the river and just a stroll to beautiful attractions. The pool offered refreshing enjoyment after a day exploring, though the depth was quite significant. A late check-out added a nice touch for our delayed flight.

Check-in was rather slow with a wait time longer than expected.

Friendly staff and the fast check-in were great, but breakfast seating was cramped.

Staying with my friends was lit! We loved hanging out by the deep swimming pool and enjoying a late checkout, a nice touch for our late flight. We explored the beautiful river promenade and checked out the fine twin pagodas nearby. Breakfast was decent and had enough variety to start our day right.

The only downside was the check-in process. It took us over 30 minutes to get settled, even with our group. It was a bit frustrating after a long journey.

Recommend it for groups

The location was perfect, right near a bustling pedestrian area where we found some delicious snacks and cool souvenirs. And the staff, they were attentive. One evening after a long day, they even surprised us with extra bottles of water and some local treats in our room.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was still acceptable for what we got.

The hotel is great location near the river and just a stroll away from the fine twin pagodas. Our family of five, including three teenagers, loved the spacious rooms and enjoyed a lovely breakfast that had plenty of options to choose from.

My children wished for a heated outdoor pool.

Convenient Stay in the Heart of Guilin

Enjoyed a lovely two-night stay. The breakfast spread on the 7th floor impressed with local specialties, though takeaway options cost extra. Perfect location near the river for easy access to city attractions. Consider arriving early for check-in due to crowds, but service remained friendly.
